Spending Memorial Day at the San Diego Zoo
Memorial day means one thing for me, four day weekend! Waking up this morning knowing I wish it could have still been vacation! It also was a perfect weekend for Alex and myself to enjoy a fun weekend of activities. It started with a great double date with Roya and Dustin, Alex and I on Friday! Interestingly enough that night started out with both Dustin and I blind folded and then lead to an ice skating rink in Laguna Nigel! Its the first time ice skating in almost 6 months, and I cant believe how much I missed it! Now that i've got the ice-skating bug again ill have to go more regular, and drag Alex along with me! After ice skating we went to get dinner at a brewery which was nearby! Great beer, but the waitress was horrible but at least we made the night fun just us four even thought the crappy service. Just because its beautiful, this is what I wake up to every day:
Saturday started out with something that I CRINGE when I think about it, and that would be bringing my car to a dealer (or shop) for maintenance. Where I currently live, there are no good places to do any car work and it is very frustrating as I prefer doing everything myself. Unfortunately I could not do what I needed to do so I resorted to bring it somewhere to be worked on. I desperately needed the work, and afterwards my car drove like a dream. From there we met back up with Dustin and Roya for yet another double date. This time, we ended up visiting Balboa Island and riding beach cruisers up and down the bike path! It was perfect weather yet again down at Balboa! We grabbed dinner and then head home, and after returning home I fell asleep like a baby. Waking up around 9 joined a few people at the piano bar named Derby's. It turned into a interesting night as always at Durbys, as their music is great and pleasing.
Sunday Alex and I joined Logan and Teresa for dinner at the Spectrums: Cheesecake Factory. They're always great to hang out with, after which we went to Yorba Linda to hang with Timmy. Monday was probably the most important day for me. I planned a date for Alex, which since she planned a few different events without me knowing I had to do the same. So waking up early, we headed out around 10:30 for San Diego. By the time we got into San Diego we were hungry and stopped at our favorite food places ever: Subway! I LOVE the zoo, and we really did enjoy ourselves. Here are a few photo's I took from my phone!
